Development Manager’s Update - June 2022

Welcome to the June 2022 update!

The Vale Stage 2&3

The construction crew have continued construction of concrete footpaths and street trees along the new roads. Fun fact, there is over a kilometre of concrete footpaths being installed between these 2 stages - 1,185m of footpath to be more specific, built with 500 tonnes of concrete and steel reinforcement. In the south-eastern portion of the site, there has been substantial progress on the water quality pond and upstream drainage network. This progress is thanks to a few weeks of improved weather and a hard-working crew on site who work most Saturdays to keep things going.

Given the significant wet weather delays we have worked with Wollongong Council to bond the final touches of the drainage and riparian landscaping works. This will allow us to bring forward registration by approximately 3 months and these works will be completed in the first 3-4 months post registration.

Bankbook Terraces

With the roofs, doors and windows installed and the terraces at lockup stage the builder can make more consistent progress even in the event of wet weather. The action has now well and truly turned to the internals of the homes with stairs being installed, waterproofing going in for wet areas, kitchen cabinetry commencing installation and plasterwork and undercoats being applied to the walls.

We also held a live demonstration for the smart home package, held at one of the Grove townhouse dwellings. A video of the smart home package can be viewed on the website in the link below, Watch Video
