Welcome to the March 2022 update! Did you know that since our last update in February, Wollongong has experienced 471.2mm of rainfall? That's quite a lot of rain in just over 4 weeks. We hope you've been able to stay dry through the recent wild weather.
Despite the deluge over the last few weeks, we've still made some progress at The Vale Stage 2&3, albeit, not as much as we'd hoped. Our construction crew has pushed on with kerb and gutter laid on Gerringulli Way, Garreeira Road, Wonjandal Way and Roy Sheargold Avenue. Kerb is a major milestone for the project as it facilitates the construction of services. So far, we've had electrical (Endeavour Energy), gas (Jemena gas) and telecommunication (OptiComm) mains laid along most of the road. Next on the list will be watermains starting next month.
Council's formal comments on The Vale DA modification was received on the 16th of March and a response with updated documentation was provided to Council by our consultants on the 18th of March. We hope that the latest response addresses all the requirements to allow the modification to be approved.
In the meantime, there is some good news - the Subdivision Works Certificate for The Stage 4-6 Bulk Earthworks has been approved! This will allow us to commence construction on Stage 4-6 imminently. Machinery has already been floated into the site to get us going.
This month saw the project team host our first purchaser inspections at Bankbook Terraces. All the frames are now installed with roofing also having been installed. Next month will see the completion of the roofing installation and work on the facades and internal linings as the terraces progress towards the lockup stage.
We look forward to providing you with another update next month. See you then!
